Android 2.3 gingerbread battery info screen

Today my HTC Desire HD got updated to Android 2.3 GingerBread. I've had a host of problems before. All of my SMSes got deleted with no warning. The default email program was crashing all the time. My battery lasted significantly less than one day.

So far I'm sure that the email app problem is gone. Also, the battery management seems better, though I would have to use it a couple of days to be sure. The main thing I'm grateful for is the new Battery Info screen that comes up when the battery is low. You can see exactly what has been eating through your battery. My phone says its 50% display, and I'm really puzzled because I have been using it at most 30 minutes in 6 hours. Though it seems possible.

The battery info screen displays what has been eating your battery, not what is currently happening. I would like a little more control here, some information on the time frame the statistics has been gathered from.

Anyways, Android seems to be getting better. Its only a shame that HTC stocks cannot be bought easily, but only from Taiwan stock market.
